PRACTICAL DRIVING TEST

The practical test begins with an eyesight check and some questions about vehicle safety.

The driving part of the test is 40 minutes long and will cover all types of road and driving situations.  The examiner will be looking to see if you have reached a safe standard of driving, you must carry out specific manoeuvres at his request. You are allowed 15 minor faults and you will still pass.  Any serious faults and you will automatically fail.

Our driving instructors will advise you when you are ready for the test and will supply the appropriate vehicle if required.  You must have the appropriate vehicle, fully insured and licensed and displaying L-plates.

Remember it’s not about the quantity of driving lessons you have but the quality.  Although practice is essential, patient, friendly and expert advice provided by the driving instructors at Driving School Sheffield will get you through in the end!
